We Put a Face on Faith
Church on the Square did community service within the local middle school and cleaned up parks and walking trails as part of their Faith in Action Sunday...

Church on the Square is a one-year-old church located in the eclectic, bohemian community of Bartlett, near downtown Memphis, TN. They don’t have a building; they don’t have a lot of members (60 total); their pastor is bi-vocational. But they’re not afraid to storm the gates of hell by sharing their robust faith in their community.
In October of 2007, Church on the Square became the “Church Out There,” said lead pastor Kenny Davis. “We let our lights shine, and God was glorified.
“We saw Faith in Action as an opportunity for us to truly tap into the heart of our community,” he added. “That day, we put a face on faith.”
Wanting to make an impact in the local school system, they adopted an inner city middle school, transforming the girls’ bathroom with rich, vibrant colors on the walls. At Christmas, they donated gloves and skull caps embellished with the school monogram – enough for every child. They also gathered seven huge boxes of personal hygiene products for the kids, and solicited donations from a company who contributed additional personal supplies. The assistant principal was overwhelmed. “
